Calcutta High Court orders counseling for upper primary recruitment before puja

Upper Primary Teacher Recruitment: There is good news for candidates seeking upper primary jobs. Big news came to light in today’s hearing in Calcutta High Court. After all, there is going to be a mess in the recruitment of upper primary. School Service Commission can start the recruitment process for upper primary job candidates. Today the Division Bench of Honorable Justice Soumen Sen of Calcutta High Court ordered to start counseling in the recruitment process.

Although counseling has been ordered, the plaintiffs’ lawyers are claiming that no recommendations can be made. The court accepted that argument. The Commission can start the process of selection of job aspirants included in the merit list as to who will go to which school. However, the order to give his recommendation letter has not come yet. The next hearing in this case is on October 28. After the puja, the judge will reportedly hear vacancy updates and other matters.

There are repeated delays in the recruitment of upper primary teachers. Job seekers are disappointed because even after 9 long years the recruitment process is not completed. The case moved from the single bench to the division bench due to allegations of corruption in the 2021 interim list released by the School Service Commission for the recruitment of upper primary students.

Justice Subrata Talukdar directed the commission to conduct the interviews in 2021. Those who are not called for interview are asked to complain. Ordered to submit the merit list to the court after the second week of November. Later SSCO submits the merit list to the commission. The merit list has been published on the orders of the court.

School Service Commission has released the merit list of 13,339 students. The recruitment process of upper primary is going on since 2014. There are more than 14 thousand vacancies in this recruitment. Officials claim that SSC has already taken several steps regarding the Higher Primary Recruitment process as per the directions of the Calcutta High Court. There has been no recruitment at the upper primary level for almost 10 years. Earlier the merit list prepared for the recruitment was published but it was canceled due to corruption allegations. The panel was re-released after new interviews were conducted. Successful candidates are becoming impatient day by day. They are demanding immediate appointment.
