Abhijit Gangopadhyay: Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay gave a big order in the primary teacher recruitment case. The judge ordered a CBI inquiry against West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) Chairman Gautam Pal. The judge has also given permission for arrest if he does not cooperate in the investigation. Not only this, the Board Secretary also ordered the Central Intelligence Force to investigate against Parth Karmakar. Justice Abhijeet Gangopadhyay gave permission to ask questions to the remaining members of the council also.
The court gave this order today in the hearing of the case related to OMR sheets of Preliminary TET 2014. S Basu Roy & Company designed the OMR sheet in such a way that the name and roll number of the candidate could not be understood. Many discrepancies were observed in the digital OMR copy. Even after so many complaints against this company, why has this company been given the responsibility of OMR sheets? In this regard, questions can be asked to Board Chairman Gautam Pal and other members.
The judge seemed satisfied with the report submitted by the Central Investigation Agency. The report said that former President Manik Bhattacharya was closely linked to the recruitment scam. Former President Manik Bhattacharya is now in jail in the recruitment corruption case. That’s why the current president is being questioned. Current president Gautam Pal and secretary Partha Karmakar have been asked to be present at Nizam Palace by 6 pm today, Wednesday. Other members of the board may be interrogated by the Central Intelligence Agency (CBI) later.
