Holidays in November: The holidays of Durga Puja and Lakshmi Puja have just ended. West Bengal State Government offices have opened normally after consecutive holidays. However, as soon as this holiday season ends, the state government employees are going to get continuous holidays again in November. As per the notification published by the West Bengal Finance Department, the list of holidays of West Bengal Government employees has been determined. Kali Puja is falling on Sunday, 12th November. Sunday is already a holiday, this time Monday i.e. 13th and 14th November has been declared as additional day for Kali Puja. Then there will be a holiday on 15th November on the birth anniversary of Vaphonta and Birsa Munda. Both these holidays fall on the same day. But this time there will be an extra day off on the next day of Vafota. That means this holiday is on 16th November. In this way, there will be a total of five days of holidays from 12th to 16th in all the offices of West Bengal.
Chhath Puja on Sunday, 19 November. This day is already a holiday since it is Sunday. However, Monday, November 20, an additional day of Chhath Puja, has been declared a holiday. Then on Monday, November 27, all offices in West Bengal will remain closed on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak.
Apart from these holidays, there will be two more Sundays on 5th and 26th November. That means there are a total of 10 days of holidays in the month of November. However, for offices which have a holiday on Saturday, four additional days of holiday will be added. They have a total of 14 days of holidays in the month of November.
